Joy Mongolia Travel is an outstanding locally owned and operated travel agency located in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. We made contact with Joy Travel via the Travel Local website and then via email and WhatsApp group calls and messages. Joy Travel staff are fluent in written and spoken English as well as many other languages.
We found Joy Travel a pleasure to work with and after discussion of our needs and interests, they arranged the most fabulous trip for the three of us to the Gobi and Altai areas of Mongolia.
Along the way the accommodation, restaurants and ger camps selected were excellent and suited our needs and expectations.
Whether our interests were landscapes of the steppe and Gobi deserts; pre-history, petroglyphs, dinosaurs, rare wildlife, birds or sand dune systems; or the lived experience of staying with the local Kazakh summer herding families of the High Altai mountains, and learning a little of their herding and animal husbandry practices; or listening to and watching traditional music, song and dance; obtaining cashmere products; or the training of horse and rider in the modern practice of the ancient skill of horse-back archery, and more, Joy Travel enabled us to enjoy and appreciate a wealth of experiences and where ever we travelled we were made welcome by the local people and herder families.
Joy Travel and their amazing team including our wonderful guide, excellent drivers, and our own fantastic cook, (in the high Altai), together with the highly skilled ‘office’ based team, were simply outstanding in what they organised and arranged for us, and their day to day support during our visit.
We thank each of the Joy Travel team for our wonderful experience in Mongolia and recommend Joy Travel Mongolia unreservedly.

JOY OF MONGOLIA TRAVEL AGENCY: Eden and I had a wonderful visit in Mongolia last July8-23 with the help of Amaraa, Megaa and Bernee with the scheduling and trip. The trip was a success and we had a great time. The office was very helpful and accommodating with the many changes I made even to the last minute. The guide and driver was always on time for pick up and we had breakfast, lunch and dinner together during the trip—like family. So we share our life stories in a very friendly interaction. Mongolia is a beautiful country and we visited many, many points of interest. The Madam Festival was very colorful and interesting, the visit to a Nomadic family gave s perspective of what life is in Mongolia outside Ulaanbaatar, the city, with their tradition, culture and people. We even had the herders joined us in the ger and a gentleman sang to us a beautiful Mongolian song, offered us a drink , fermented mare’s milk, etc. —very hospitable people. They took us to see the temples and monastery , monks chanting prayers for the people just so many to list here, Flaming cliffs where dinosaurs eggs and bone were found, wild horses, museum, throat singing, etc.
At the end , we treated our guides for a Korean dinner to show our appreciation for the wonderful treatment they had done for us. It was very professional and personal treatment . We highly recommend the agency for your trip to beautiful Mongolia.
